TWO-STROKE JET SKI AND OUTBOARD ENGINES

These can be some of the crudest gas-burning machines on the planet. They discharge nearly 1/3 of their fuel directly into the water posing a threat to fish, vegetation, the environment and underground drinking water sources especially if these engines are used on lakes and the lake is used as a drinking water source!

Pollution from these type engines may leave fish caught in the area by fishermen tasting like kerosene! One hundred thousand of these polluting engines are manufactured yearly. Currently, 2-stroke outboard motors dump as much oil as 15 Exxon Valdez tankers into U.S. waters every year as well as an estimated one billion pounds of cancer-causing petroleum hydrocarbons!

Driving a jet ski or waverunner for 7 hours produces as many hydrocarbons as driving a car 100,000 miles!
